Amber Robinson

Amber Robinson was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  At age three, she began studying at Rowland School of Dance in Kingwood, Texas. At age seventeen, Amber was chosen to attend Ballet Ensemble of Texas Preparatory Program in Dallas, Texas under the direction of Lisa Slagle and Allen Kinzie. She competed in the Youth American Grand Prix from 2015-2017 and Regional Dance America from 2014-2016.  Robinson received many scholarships to train domestically and internationally from 2011-2017.  Including Gelsey Kirkland Academy, OU Summer Wind Youth Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet. 

Robinson began her professional career in 2017 with Oklahoma City Ballet under the direction of Robert Mills. While at Oklahoma City Ballet she performed in many iconic ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Robert Mills production of The Little Mermaid and many more.  In addition to Ambers love of ballet, she has travelled internationally to acquire a certification in Parkinson’s Dance Therapy by Dance for PD at the Royal Ballet of Canada. She is also certified in Adaptive Dance Therapy for Special Needs individuals, from Boston Ballet. Her passion is to make dance accessible to all individuals and to train young dancers how to ready their minds and body to become successful in life and as professional dancers. 

Robinson is a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and CPR certified. She is also certified in Barre and Bosu Ball Fitness. Robinson has extensive training instructing Golden Swans, Senior Stretch, Yoga, Pilates and Stretch for Athletes. She has instructed young dancers in the techniques of ballet, contemporary ballet, jazz, modern and creative dance since 2012.  Robinson joined Central Oklahoma Dance Company in 2020.
