Central Oklahoma Dance Company Scholarships for Financial Assistance

Program Overview
One of the tenants of the Central Oklahoma Dance Company (CODC) mission is to ease the financial burden that may prevent children and youth from participating in dance classes and performance opportunities. In order to increase access to our programs we provide opportunities for both financial and talent-based scholarships and financial assistance relief for low-income families or those that may be in a time of distress.

At this time, assistance is available for dancers ages 3-18 (pre-school through grade12) to cover tuition and registration fees. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis, using a sliding scale, and are assessed to fit each individual’s current financial situation. Also, please note that assistance is based on availability of funds at any given time.

CODC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Funding for these opportunities through CODC is made possible through generous donations from the public, our community, our dancer’s families, our direct fundraising campaigns, and any CODC special events. Please note that CODC will never reimburse individuals with direct monies through this program. All funds are directly applied to a dancer’s account balance.

Receiving a scholarship OR financial assistance, whether in full or in part is still a responsibility and commitment that we expect to be taken seriously. We do place the same expectations for behavior and attendance on all of our students, regardless of their payment status, so please be aware that upon applying you are also making a commitment to attend class regularly, keep absences low, and to openly communicate with us regarding any concerns with your student or yourself.

CODC is an equal opportunity organization and admits students of all races, ages, sexual orientations, national and ethnic origins and grants to them all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all students at our school. CODC does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships, or any other school-administered programs.

I understand that Central Oklahoma Dance Company is a nonprofit organization and that financial assistance is made possible through the generosity of donors. My subsidy, if awarded, will expire at the end of the dance season or semester. Completing this application in no way guarantees that I will be awarded any kind of scholarship or financial assistance. The award of any subsidy will be at the discretion of the CODC administrators and I understand that I will be evaluated as fairly as possible. To maintain my subsidy, I will need to provide updated documentation when requested by CODC, and I will be afforded at least 30 days to provide information when requested. Failure to provide the requested documentation may lead to a revocation of my subsidy. I understand that if my subsidy is revoked or expires, my fees will revert to the full, regular tuition cost for the classes I am enrolled in and the appropriate and current fees will be charged to my account. I further understand that expiration or revocation of my subsidy does not cancel my enrollment. I agree to notify CODC if my financial situation improves, so that my subsidy can be re-evaluated, thus providing more opportunities for others that may be in need. Assistance will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to available funds and eligibility. All CODC dancers receive the same education, regardless of whether or not they are receiving assistance. My dancer agrees to maintain excellent attendance. I hereby certify that the information provided by myself or my legal representative is true and accurate. I have read and understand the CODC program requirements. I understand and agree that CODC reserves the right at any time and without notice to modify the application form, or to modify or terminate this Program; and to audit the information I have provided on this application at any time.
I acknowledge and agree to all of the above:
