Central Oklahoma Dance Company Scholarships for Financial Assistance
One of the tenants of the Central Oklahoma Dance Company (CODC) mission is to ease the financial burden that may prevent children and youth from participating in dance classes and performance opportunities. In order to increase access to our programs we provide opportunities for both financial and talent-based scholarships and financial assistance relief for low-income families or those that may be in a time of distress.
At this time, assistance is available for dancers ages 3-18 (pre-school through grade12) to cover tuition and registration fees. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis, using a sliding scale, and are assessed to fit each individual’s current financial situation. Also, please note that assistance is based on availability of funds at any given time.
CODC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Funding for these opportunities through CODC is made possible through generous donations from the public, our community, our dancer’s families, our direct fundraising campaigns, and any CODC special events. Please note that CODC will never reimburse individuals with direct monies through this program. All funds are directly applied to a dancer’s account balance.
Receiving a scholarship OR financial assistance, whether in full or in part is still a responsibility and commitment that we expect to be taken seriously. We do place the same expectations for behavior and attendance on all of our students, regardless of their payment status, so please be aware that upon applying you are also making a commitment to attend class regularly, keep absences low, and to openly communicate with us regarding any concerns with your student or yourself.
CODC is an equal opportunity organization and admits students of all races, ages, sexual orientations, national and ethnic origins and grants to them all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all students at our school. CODC does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships, or any other school-administered programs.
